Sita Devi Lake Trek – Chinnakanal (Munnar, Idukki) Sita Devi Lake (also called Devikulam Lake) is one of the hidden gems near Chinnakanal, Munnar. It is famous for its mythological connection with Sita Devi from the Ramayana, where it is believed she bathed in the lake. The water here is crystal-clear, cool, and believed to have medicinal properties.
Trekking Experience Starting Point: Chinnakanal / Devikulam area (around 8–10 km from Munnar town). Trek Distance: 2–4 km (depends on the chosen trail). Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate (suitable for beginners with some stamina). Altitude: ~1,800 meters above sea level. Duration: 1.5 – 2.5 hours (to and fro).
